I decided to make Hillary Clinton’s chocolate chip cookie recipe the other day to see whether she actually knew anything about cooking. I discovered that the recipe calls for one cup of artery clogging shortening. At the time Hillary released this recipe in 1992, shortening was loaded with trans fats.
"There really is no safe level of consumption of trans fat," FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg said.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 5,000 Americans a year die of heart disease because artificial trans fat is in the food supply "and another 15,000 will get heart disease," said Thomas Frieden, CDC director.
These fats "increase the shelf life of foods but decrease the shelf life of humans," said Dean Ornish, a professor of medicine at the University of California-San Francisco.

While Crisco, a popular shortening, no longer contains trans fats, it did have them at the time Hillary released her recipe. The recipe also calls for 1-½ cups of sugar, in total. The included oatmeal does not negate the negative health effects of the sugar and shortening.
Since Hillary released her cookie recipe, obesity has increased dramatically in the United States. In 1990, at least ten states had obesity rates of 0% to 10%. By 1995, no state had an obesity rate less than 10%. obesity.procon.org/…
Obesity is directly linked to numerous adverse health conditions, many of which have also risen in the United States. A few illnesses associated with obesity include cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
The Internet expansion occurred under Bill Clinton, giving people across the globe access to Hillary Clinton’s health-destroying chocolate chip cookie recipe. A Google search returns almost 80,000 hits for her recipe. It even appeared in The New York Times and can be found at All Recipes. It is no coincidence that in 1997, the World Health Organization was forced to declare obesity a global epidemic.
Whereas Michelle Obama has used her status as First Lady to fight childhood obesity and encourage healthy eating and exercise, Hilary Clinton did none of this as First Lady. Hillary Clinton’s goal was to fatten America so that in 2016, pharmaceutical and health companies would donate more than $1 million to her campaign. She has also received more than $2 million from health professionals, many of whom depend on sick people for their livelihood. www.opensecrets.org/...
The other problem with Hillary’s cookie recipe is that it uses chocolate. Child slavery was and continues to be rampant in the cocoa industry.
UNICEF estimates that nearly a half-million children work on farms across Ivory Coast, which produces nearly 40% of the world’s supply of cocoa. The agency says hundreds of thousands of children, many of them trafficked across borders, are engaged in the worst forms of child labor.

Yet as recently as 2015, Hillary Clinton named chocolate as her biggest food craving. www.politico.com/...
If Hillary Clinton really cared about America or the world, and if she were a true progressive, she never would have released that chocolate chip recipe. She needs to explain how she could promote a recipe that leads to the exploitation of children or how she can take money from donors who benefit from the growing obesity problem in America.
